The iPhone 14 Pro will be even more powerful with 8GB of RAM

iPhone 14

The iPhone 14 Pro will include more RAM than any other Apple iPhone to date. It will come with 8GB of RAM, 2GB more than the iPhone 12 Pro and 13 Pro, which are the two models with the most RAM.

Apple 's habits , we can assume that it will be less powerful even if it is impossible to determine to what extent, at least for now.

A camera that is particularly resource-intensive

iPhone

iPhones have always had less RAM than Samsung's S series devices. But this time, Apple is forced to raise the bar because, as the Journal du Web claims, the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro " will feature a camera sensor that will be very resource-intensive ."

Furthermore, renowned Apple expert Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the rear camera would be triple-lens, featuring a 48MP and two 12MP ultra-wide-angle auxiliary sensors. The main difference, he suggested, would be the main sensor's ability to record 8K video , a significant feature, especially considering its compatibility with virtual and augmented reality apps.

What about the other technical specifications?

According to some rumors, Apple is expected to reduce the storage capacity. The base hard drive will be 64GB, half the size of the current iPhone 13 Pro. This decision is primarily intended to prevent a price increase for the upcoming Pro model.

Finally, there is one prediction that seems much less plausible: that the entire iPhone 14 range, even non-Pro, will feature a 120Hz refresh rate

Not only has Apple so far always reserved this technology for its most prestigious devices, but other insiders and analysts like Jeff Pu have already stated that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will remain at a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

It's worth mentioning that Jeff Pu hasn't been infallible over the years. In 2019, he predicted a HomePod with 3D-sensing cameras, which never materialized. However, he was correct when he predicted mini-LED displays for the MacBook Pro and the latest iPad Pro.

The end of the iPhone Mini

Finally, Apple is expected to maintain a range of 4 devices for 2022, but it is highly likely that the Mini model will never see the light of day: there will be an iPhone 14, an iPhone 14 Max and the corresponding Pro versions.

A notable difference between the Pro and base models should be in the screen itself: the less prestigious range will continue to adopt the notch that makes users complain so much, while the Pro models will switch to a hole in the screen, hiding all the Face ID technology and sensors underneath.
