EK has released vertically mounted GPU . EK has taken every precaution to ensure the stability of the mounting and prevent abnormal disconnection of the graphics card during prolonged use. The bracket is therefore fully compatible with both standard and liquid-cooled GPUs. It is currently patent pending. This solution addresses the needs of users who previously had to resort to DIY solutions to mount GPUs vertically.
How does the installation process work?
To prevent sagging, EK has used vertical support and additional mounting points on the motherboard. The installation utilizes the motherboard's two screw standoffs for enhanced stability. Two plastic feet are included to protect the motherboard. This allows the bracket to be installed even on motherboards with complex covers and structures. The unit fits and mounts easily inside an ATX chassis. This is particularly convenient for thicker graphics cards like the RTX 3080 Founders Edition or the RTX 3090 Founders Edition.
The bracket requires six free PCIe slots. The GPU frame of the graphics card itself occupies one or two slots, but the GPU cooler is significantly thicker. Therefore, cards like the AORUS RTX 3090 Master, which occupies almost four slots, should fit without issue. The bracket also includes a 200mm long PCIe Gen 3.0 riser cable.

What if the case isn't compatible?
If your case doesn't have the necessary slots, EK will release another vertical GPU bracket that partially recesses into the case. This bracket will also include a 1.8m DisplayPort cable, allowing for installation at the front or rear of the chassis as needed. There's something for everyone. This EK-Loop vertical GPU bracket is available for €65.
