Towards the end of July, the developer ADATA released a new firmware version for the Gammix S70 (Blade) SSDs . This firmware was intended to improve the performance of disks when they are more than 50% full. However, after the update , there were reports that the SSDs were unusable. ADATA was therefore obliged to withdraw this update.
What is this firmware version that damages Gammix S70 SSDs?
The mentioned firmware version that damages SSDs is 3.2.9.1. It can be downloaded both from the manufacturer's website or directly from their ToolBox SSD . The real problem is with the update!
Indeed, after installing firmware 3.2.9.1 , then restarting your system, the BIOS ( Basic Input Output System ) of your PC instantly stops recognizing your Gammix S70 SSD device. Your disk then becomes unusable and no longer serves any purpose on your computer. It is therefore urgent to change it!

The numerous complaints led the manufacturer to first remove the update from its official website. If you have an ADATA disk, we advise you not to update it until a real solution is found.

ADATA recently stated that the problems were caused by an error in the program used during the update. The bug has already been fixed in the new version of the software. If you have a Gammix S70 SSD, you can contact the manufacturer's customer support to receive a new one.
Also, ADATA has just released a new update for the Gammix S70 and the S70 Blade (version 3.2.9. V). Notwithstanding the fact that it is considered reliable, the update still carries risks!
