Apple is organizing the third episode of the “ One more thing ” event this November 10. “One more thing” is a sort of slogan used frequently by Steve Jobs but was no longer used after the release of the iPhone X. This expression is now coming back to the forefront. This is the 3rd keynote after the 2 events of the same type which took place on September 15 and October 13.
Apple will announce its Macbooks with homemade processors
Apple Silicon solutions . Indeed, Apple had been using Intel processors for 15 years. It is therefore a great first for Apple to be able to provide a Macbook without an Intel processor . Apple would start by presenting Macbooks, but Mac Pros are also in the works. Rumors are circulating that Apple will present 3 Macs this November 10: 2 13'' Macbooks (Air and Pro version) and a 16'' Mac Pro. These new Macs will roughly keep the previous designs but it will be especially in terms of performance and energy consumption that there should be significant changes.
The event will take place at Apple Park in Cupertino at 7 p.m. (UTC+1) this November 10. It will be broadcast in particular on the Apple TV application and on the Apple website. If the first two events were more focused on Apple Watches, iPhones and iPads, this last event of this year will be focused on MacBooks with its Apple Silicon processors. These are solutions with ARM architecture designed directly by Apple. The latter will therefore increasingly use its own chips as is already the case for its IPhone 12 (A14 Bionic).
New features that will also be announced
This 3rd edition of the “One more thing” keynote will also be an opportunity for Apple to present its most anticipated new products such as AirTags and Airpods Studio . AirTags are portable tags that can be associated with everyday objects that you don't want to lose sight of (key, pet, etc.). Apple has already been planning their release for almost a year. The Airpods Studio are Apple's new Bluetooth audio headsets.
Furthermore, other products based on the A14 chip of the IPhone 12 will probably also see the light of day. It is a 5 nanometer multi-core supplied by TSMC. This chip is renowned for its machine learning performance and has an average jump of 20% in efficiency compared to the previous generation (A13). The A14 includes 11.8 billion transistors that switch at 3 GHz. The chip includes 6 CPU cores, 4 GPU cores and 16 cores for the Neural Engine.
Apple will probably also announce the stable version of macOS 11 , the beta version of which was already released on October 30. This new operating system would sport a new look and will be accompanied by a new messaging program and an integrated translator for the Safari browser.
See you this November 10 at 7 p.m. French for this “one more thing” keynote presented by Apple!
