MSI is releasing its new Geforces RTX 30 2nd generation series : RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090. Each model will have an overclocking option ! This RTX 30 series from Geforce with its GPUs concocted by Ampere is characterized by increased performance according to benchmarks carried out by NVIDIA.
The graphic rendering is very immersive thanks, among other things, to Ray Tracing technology . These graphics cards have been on the market since September. These cards are categorized into 2 main classes: the Gaming Trio type and the Ventus type.
The Gaming Trio guy
6 cards are on display for the Gaming type: the RTX 3070 Gaming Trio, the RTX 3080 Gaming Trio and the RTX 3090 Gaming Trio. These 3 cards have an X version with the overclocking option: the RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio, the 3080 and the RTX 3090 Gaming X Trio.
On the cooling side, we can note the existence of thermal pads at the back . In addition, RBV LEDs are available to provide a play of light according to your favorite colors. They are controlled by the Mystic Light Sync system.
The following connections are present on these cards: 3 HDMI 1.4a ports, 1 HDMI 2.1 port. They have 8 pins for the PCI Express slot.
MSI Ventus 3X
8 cards are available for this class: the RTX Ventus 3X 3070, 3080, 3090 and the 3 with the overclocking option: the RTX Ventus 3X OC 3070, 3080, 3090. The other 2 are the RTX 3070 Ventus 2X and RTX 3070 Ventus 2X OC. The latter 2 are characterized by the use of a cooling system with 2 fans. These graphics cards are also PCIe compatible with their 8 pins. On the connectivity side, we notice 3 HDMI 1.4a ports and 1 HDMI 2.1 port.
The performances of these new series
This new series is differentiated by exceptional visual fidelity offered thanks to Ray Tracing and DSLL. The sampling provided by Deep Learning makes it possible to exploit the Tensor Core processors dedicated to the AI of these GPUs and to offer gamers a high output resolution.
The image refresh rate is thus 68 fps instead of 30 fps for standard ranges. These cards have low latency times and better responsiveness. As a result, gamers can stand out from their competitors by quickly identifying targets and objectives.
This series of graphics card allows you to send livestreams with exceptional image quality , create complex 3D scenes and work on high-resolution 8K videos.
RTX 30 Series Advanced Specifications
These cards have GDDR6X type memory, 8GB, 10GB and 24GB respectively for the RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090. Regarding the CUDA cores, the 3070 has 5888, the 3080 is at 8704 and the most efficient 3090 is at 10496 cores. The boost frequency is around 1.7 GHz. These graphics cards are compatible with Direct X12. This allows developers to produce video games with very realistic effects at high resolution. Indeed, advanced features such as variable frequency shading or ray tracing are available.
