October promises to be a very busy month for Microsoft. The Redmond-based company has just announced the official release date for its Office suite. Aimed at both individuals and professionals, the rollout of the new version of Office will begin on October 5th , coinciding with the release of Windows 11 .
The new version of Office arrives with a host of new features

On October 5, 2021 , Microsoft will make a splash with the Windows 11 operating system and a brand new version of Office, which will also be available on Windows and macOS.
This version of Office will benefit from a new interface using Fluent Design code and will be available in two forms: the first will be included in the Microsoft 365 subscription , while the second will be provided as a perpetual license for all those who do not wish to subscribe to any subscription.
The use of Fluent Design code will also allow Office 2021 to better align with the new operating system, namely Windows 11. That said, it's important to emphasize that Office 2021 will still function and be compatible with Windows 10. This is certainly very good news for all those who are unable to install Windows 11 on their computers.
Office 2021: What are its other advantages?

In a statement, Microsoft announced that Office 2021 will be delivered via two methods.
The first option is to subscribe to Microsoft 365 for €69 per year . This solution includes all the applications in the office suite and several online services, such as OneDrive, Teams, and even SharePoint Online .
As for the second method, it will be available in an LTSC (Long Term Service Channel) version. This option allows users to choose a perpetual license for Office 2021 and enjoy it for life.
Anyone who chooses Office 2021 will benefit from five years of support and updates . However, after that date, Microsoft will no longer support updates for Office 2021. You will then need to purchase a new perpetual license for a recently released version of Office to take advantage of new features.
Microsoft has not yet shared all the details about the new features included in Office 2021. However, we do know that this version of Office will support dark mode across all applications in the suite . Furthermore, Excel will feature enhanced cell formatting, thanks in particular to the XLookUp .
