Fitbit is planning to launch a brand new smart bracelet. And what a surprise: the Fitbit Charge 5 ! The announcement hasn't been officially made yet. However, we already know a lot thanks to the famous blogger Evan Blass , who posted renders on his Twitter account!
What will the future Fitbit Charge 5 look like?
The first important point to highlight is the Fitbit Charge 5's screen . Referring to the photos published by Evan Blass, we can see that the fitness tracker's screen will now be in color . Yes, it will no longer be limited to black and white like previous models.
Like a regular fitness tracker, the Fitbit Charge 5 displays the time and date on its screen. It also shows the wearer's heart rate, a common feature among smart bracelets . Another element on the Fitbit Charge 5's display resembles a gauge. Currently, we have no information about this element, but it could represent the number of steps taken in a day.
Thanks to leaks, we now all know that the bracelet will be offered in three different colors . One model will be black, another blue with a silver case, and finally, a third model pink with a gold case. It's also worth noting that the smart bracelet's design is more inspired by the Fitbit Luxe than the Fitbit 4 .

Renderings of the Fitbit Charge 5 reveal that the new shape of the band closely resembles that of Google's Pixel Watch . Indeed, Google acquired Fitbit last January for nearly $2.1 billion. We therefore believe that the design of the Fitbit Charge 5 was not chosen at random!
Has the release date of the Fitbit Charge 5 also leaked?
Since the information comes directly from blogger Evan Blass, there's nothing official on the subject yet. However, a detail on the dial might give us an idea of the bracelet's release date.
Indeed, upon closer inspection of the photo above, you can see a date inscribed on the bracelet: October 23rd ! Let's not kid ourselves: this is a fairly common practice, observed among manufacturers in recent years!
As a reminder, the Fitbit Charge 3 was launched in October 2018. The following model, the Fitbit Charge 4, was launched in March 2020. Therefore, an October 2021 release date for the Fitbit Charge 5 would be entirely possible.
