Alongside the presentation of the Ryzen 5000, AMD anticipated some information on the Big Navi , the high-end card of the Radeon RX 6000 family: the performance seems to indicate a close battle with Nvidia's RTX 3080.
AMD will not unveil the Radeon RX 6000 until October 28th, but on the occasion of the presentation of the new Ryzen 5000, the company wanted to anticipate some information, create some anticipation and break the media hegemony of Nvidia in recent weeks with the GeForce RTX 3000 series of cards.
AMD benchmarks
CEO Lisa Su didn't discuss specific models or technical specifications, but she did mention Big Navi (the flagship 4K offering), showcasing it with some benchmarks . AMD tested Big Navi with three games – Borderlands 3, Gears of War 5, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) – in 4K with maximum detail settings, achieving 61, 73, and 88 FPS respectively.

Based on our experience with Nvidia cards, Big Navi performs exactly like the GeForce RTX 3080 in Borderlands 3. We can't comment on the other tests because we haven't run direct tests with those games. In any case, it wouldn't be accurate to make assumptions. However, it's important to note that these figures were published by AMD, not by an independent third party.
We are therefore eagerly awaiting October 28th, the date on which AMD will unveil the Radeon RX 6000 series and delve into all the technical aspects, performance, and pricing. This little bit of anticipation has certainly caught our attention.
