X570S: What surprises does MSI have in store for us?
In a press release, MSI states that its X570S motherboards support AMD Ryzen 3000 and 5000 Series processors .
The company highlights a multitude of models, some of which were designed in partnership with EKWB and the MPG X570S Carbon EK X. Others include the MEG X570S Ace Max, the MPG X570S Carbon Max Wifi, and the MPG X570S Edge Max Wifi.
The reason the X570S motherboard is generating so much interest is its ability to cool itself passively . Indeed, MSI deliberately removed the chipset fan to reduce the noise it produced with the X570 .
The heatsink covering the chipset was then enlarged to keep it cool. Note that all MSI motherboards in the X570S series have at least one M.2 Shield Frozr heatsink, which will benefit your SSD.
Regarding audio, the MSI X570S series of gaming motherboards inherits the Audio Boost 5 function . The MSI X570S ACE MAX, on the other hand, particularly benefits from Audio Boost 5 HD .
For networking, all models feature 2.5Gbps Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E . They have at least two M.2 and all support USB 3.2 Gen 2.2 at 20Gbps . They also include an HDMI 2.1 port and front-facing Auto 2x2 connectors (also 20Gbps).
Furthermore, MSI indicates that it has upgraded all the power supply of its motherboard. As expected, the MEG X570S motherboard model is now equipped with 16+2 direct 90A SPS power phases .
The MPG X570S model , meanwhile, features a 14+2 phase Duet Rail power system with a 75A SPS rating . Finally, the MSI MPG X570S EDGE and MAG X570S TORPEDO models power supply thanks to the mirrored arrangement of the electrical .
MPG X570S Carbon EK X: a new edition from MSI
MSI also launched a special edition of the MPG X570S CARBON EK X , described as "a motherboard with a 6-layer server-grade PCB, using 2 oz of copper. The monoblocks for the CPU and VRM were specially designed to use carbon fiber elements."
The power supply system and four M.2 Gen 4 slots supported by Shield Froz r heatsinks . It also has a 2.5 Gbps LAN port, Wi-Fi 6E and a front USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C connector.
