Ray tracing is a technology that renders images of scenes with exceptional realism. It relies on displaying light according to natural laws, unlike previously used techniques. Instead of calculating pixel brightness from the light source, ray tracing calculates it from the camera's perspective . Light rays are directed at the various pixels of the image to calculate their reflection, refraction, and shadow as they bounce off them before reaching the light source.
